Norton, Kansas

 

Norton is a city in, and the county seat of, Norton County, Kansas. As of the 2010 Census the city population was 2,928. The first post office in Norton was established on October 28, 1872 and the city was incorporated on September 12, 1885. Located on the multi-state transportation corridor of U.S. Highways 36 and 283, Norton is a business and manufacturing hub of Northwest Kansas. Norton Community Schools, Unified School District 211, is located in Norton and is home to the Blue Jays.
