Clayton, Kansas


Clayton is a city in Norton, County, Kansas that is located about 17 miles southwest of the city of Norton on Kansas Highway 383.  As of the 2010 Census the city population was 59. The city of Clayton was named after the valuable clay that was found in the area.  The first post office in Clayton was established in March 1, 1879 and the city was incorporated in 1907.
